As clinical Director, Jon provides in office prosthetic support to Absolute clients. Jon is also surgically and prosthetically crossed trained on all major implant brands and stays abreast of the latest implant protocols and restorative options available to our dentists
Jon started out in the dental field in 1997 with Brasseler USA. As a rotary instrumentation specialist, he supported Dentists and Dental Labs in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, West Virginia and Kentucky. His knowledge of Crown & Bridge protocols, Endodontics as well as electric and traditional handpieces made him an integral part in hundreds of Dental practices. While in Nashville, TN, he also serviced Meharry Medical College and was instrumental in working with Dental Students.
He left Brasseler USA after 8 years, after being recruited by Astra Tech dental implants in 2005. With Jon’s many relationships and prosthetic knowledge, he successfully managed and grew the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area for over 4 years. While at Astra Tech, Jon partnered with Absolute and implemented and organized a “team approach” in processing complex and challenging implant cases from start to finish with Specialists, Restorative Clinicians and Absolute Dental Services.
Jon was asked to join Absolute in January, 2010. His role as Clinical Director is multi-faceted; he provides surgical and prosthetic support to Clinicians in the Triangle. He is surgically and prosthetically cross – trained on all major brands of implants and routinely attends CE courses to stay updated and educated on the emerging trends.
He also manages the Absolute Immediate Implant Temporization program and in this role, provides liaison to both the Specialist and Restorative Teams. Jon effectively manages the process and bridges the communication, operational and logistical issues associated with providing one-day service to our joint dental implant patients.
Jon served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Air Force, attended University of Maryland and holds an AAS Degree in Criminology.
